When did the Black Death plague occur?
Black Death occurred over about a 4-year period, beginning in 1347. For comparison, the Magna Carta was signed in 1215, the printing press was invented in 1450, and, as you may have learned in elementary school, Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492. The time period was the Middle Ages, the era before the Renaissance. This was a time of poor hygiene and generally bad conditions, which helped contribute to the spread of disease. Other plagues, which some consider to be related to Black Death, broke out in England in 1528, 1563, and 1676.
